Saturday Apr 7th, the Limestone Center in Maysville Kentucky, played host to Earlywine Racing’s third annual Winter Series banquet. During the Winter Series, ATVs and Dirt bike racers competed on alternate weekends, racing both Saturday and Sunday in a 14 round series that stretched from November till the end of February. This year 235 racers and family members attended the event to honor the top five finishers in all 15 ATV and 26 dirt bike classes.
Thanks to the support and generosity of the series sponsors, the amount of prizes handed out this year was an impressive $202,000 in prizes and contingences!! This year’s class champions received a prize package worth $2200. To be eligible for the championship, riders had to race 10 of the 14 rounds which would equal out to $250 dollars in entry fees. Even the fifth place class finishers came out on top with prize packages valued at $435.
There were also over 100 drawings throughout the night for additional door prizes. Only racers who competed in the series who were in attendance were eligible for the drawings. Corey Osborne won the yellow pocket bike donated by Earlywine Racing, Jake McKinney won the 90cc Pit Bike donated by Pit Stop ATV, and Blake Gadzinski won the Grand Prize Yamaha TTR 50 donated by Clinton County Motorsports and Yamaha. Additionally, Vet bike racer Mike Stanley and Pro class champion Joe Havel won an Elka Steering Dampner, Dylan Noll won a set of beadlocks from Hi-per Technology, Michael Beers and Tommy Donley won HMF exhausts, Women’s champ Danielle Kasper won a free lesson to the Joe Byrd Quad Riding School, Zach McCuistion and Blake Colliver won Moto-stik pogo sticks, Luke Bullock won a 10x10 canopy, Christian Crider won a Radio Shack R/C airplane, and Jacob Beavers won a Radio Shack R/C boat. The top 3 overall Quad points winners also received a VIP race card to race 1 class for free for the entire season of the WPSA Series this summer.
Look for a complete schedule for next years Earlywine Indoor Winter Series to be available in the next few months. They are planning to do a few warm up events prior to the beginning of next season along with a few indoor R/C car races this summer.
